Mar. 4 - Shrove Tuesday is marked with a pancake race, raising funds for London's Air Ambulance. Tara Cleary reports.

Shrove Tuesday is Pancake Day in the UK and Londoners celebrated with a pancake race. The charitable event raised money for London's Air Ambulance and everybody had their own idea of what makes a perfect pancake. SOUNDBITE: Unnamed pancake racer, saying (English): "Lemon and sugar and roll it up and that's how my mum used to serve it SOUNDBITE: Unnamed pancake racer, saying (English): "You can't go wrong with chocolate spread." SOUNDBITE: Unnamed pancake racer, saying (English): "My favorite is peanut butter and banana." Pancake Day precedes Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of Lent on the Christian calendar - and as it's a time of reflection, these ladies are contemplating the pancake toss.
