Buried alive -- Twenty-year-old Danny Russu, was working in a 15-foot deep trench in Oregon when the walls collapsed on Monday. Coworker Ryan Bird desperately began digging him out, until his face was exposed. (SOUNDBITE) COWORKER RYAN BIRD SAYING: "He's a very religious guy, and he wa shouting prayers." He was one of three men working for a private company that was conducting a routine repair on a sewer line when their trench caved in. Neighbors heard shouts for someone to call 911. (SOUNDBITE) LEONARD GEBBIE, NEIGHBOR, SAYING: "When I first went up to the hole you couldn't see nothing. It was completely buried, total panic. I was just talking to him - young guy." After four hours, the man was pulled from the dirt. (SOUNDBITE) MILES ULVEN, HEAVY RESCUE SAYING: "He was young and strong and did a lot of the digging himself." No official word on why the walls of their trench collapsed, although rescuers say conditions were very dangerous.
