It's a dramatic story that took place 200 million light years from Earth. The Hubble Space Telescope recently released an image of a galaxy being ripped apart in space that was captured on camera in 2009. When a galaxy moves through the center of a star cluster full of very hot gases, it sheds its own gas and explodes. Scientists are interested in the process so they can learn more about the evolution of galaxies. The Hubble Space Telescope was launched into space in 1990 and has been taking detailed images of space ever since.
