Oscars style was shrunk down to size for New York photographer Tricia Messeroux's annual Toddlewood photo shoot. Messeroux assembled ten kids to replicate looks from some of the best dressed on Oscars red carpet, with one of the highlights being best supporting actress winner Lupita Nyong'o. The work begins as soon as the red carpet starts with Messeroux going through over 400 kids to make the perfect match. SOUNDBITE: Tricia Messeroux, creator of Toddlewood, saying (English): "For 24, 36 hours my team and I just do not sleep. So it's casting. It's discussing what we are going to do. It's discussing hair and make-up. It's my designer going to the fabric district and pulling out all different fabrics to make sure she gets the right one that matches. It's trying to stay within a decent budget. It's literally conversation after conversation, and then show time." In order to duplicate Oscar winner Jared Leto's look, young Bronx donned a wig and painted on scruff. While the mini version of Charlize Theron had a brief lesson before striking a pose. Messeroux also recreates red carpet looks from the Grammys and the Golden Globes and says the response has been great. SOUNDBITE: Tricia Messeroux, creator of Toddlewood, saying (English): "It's going so viral and even celebrities are tweeting about it. And they are saying my name and they are saying 'Toddlewood'. From Adele in the UK to Giuliana (Rancic) you name it. The list goes on, Halle Berry, Chiwetel (Ejiofor), the list of people go on that have like actually mentioned or said the name "Toddlewood,' or Tricia Messeroux, and I am like, wow, this is huge." Messeroux plans to create a coffee table book with all her award show shoots filled with secrets and the behind the scenes stress of pulling off each pint-sized operation.
