L'Wren Scott was found dead in her New York apartment. Scott was a fashion designer and the girlfriend of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger. Her death was an apparent suicide; she was reportedly found hanging from a scarf in her apartment. Scott's designs were a favorite among Hollywood stars. She was 47. Chris Pine appeared in a New Zealand court on Monday (March 17) and pleaded guilty to a drunk-driving charge. Pine was fined and prohibited from driving for six months. He was arrested earlier this month, after leaving a wrap party for a film he was shooting in the country. Britain's Duchess of Cambridge celebrated St. Patrick's Day by presenting shamrocks to soldiers from the Irish Guards. Dressed in suitably green attire, Kate's presentation of the shamrocks is a century-old tradition first inaugurated in 1901. Finally, the New York Stock Exchange saw a little green today, too, as Kermit the Frog rang the opening bell. Kermit was promoting his new film "Muppets Most Wanted" which opens in the U.S. on March 21st.
