Loved ones remember victims of Harlem building explosion

March 20 - Friends and family say goodbye to three victims of the building explosion in Harlem that was caused by a gas leak. Vanessa Johnston reports.

Three victims of the building explosion in Harlem are laid to rest.
A grieving father says goodbye to his wife and daughter, Rosaura Barrios and Rosaura Hernandez.
The daughter's friend Bianca says Rosaura - at 21-years-old - had big dreams.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) SCHOOL FRIEND, BIANCA RIVERS, SAYING:
"She wanted to be a chef. She said she always wanted to cook. If you tasted her meals they were fantastic."
A few blocks away, loved ones remember 44-year-old father George Amadeo. His emotional wife, Irene, is supported as she enters the funeral.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) FRIEND DENISE SEME SAYING:
"I think she's in shocked, because when something like that happens to you, you're going through the motions, but you're not really feeling."
Friends share happy memories of the man they called "Georgie".
(SOUNDBITE) (English) FRIEND JOAN MCCOY SAYING:
"He's the kind of person who is always bringing up the groceries for the elderly, picking up the stroller taking it up the stairs. He's the kind of person who was always there."
A total of eight people lost their lives last Wednesday after a sudden explosion - caused by a gas leak - brought down two buildings in the Harlem neighborhood.
