Obamacare is being targeted again - literally.
And a congressional candidate in Alabama named Will Brooke is taking aim.
The deadline to sign up for the "Affordable Care Act" is Monday.
But Americans who faced technical difficulties with HealthCare.gov will get an automatic extension to enroll. Which puts the honor system into place.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) HOUSE SPEAKER JOHN BOEHNER, SAYING:
"Another deadline made meaningless. The administration is now resorting to an honor system to enforce it. What the hell is this, a joke?"
Republicans hoping to repeal the law have been highlighting its problems ahead of the November election.
The Obama administration says 5 million people have signed up for the new healthcare plans so far.
And with traffic spiking ahead of the deadline, they say it could reach 6 million.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE WILL BROOKE, SAYING:
"Looks like we'll have to resort to more extreme measures to get rid of Obamacare and replace it with a market-based solution."
But shots are still being fired at the new healthcare act.
