ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: Prominent Russian fashion designer Slava Zaitsev was showered with flower bouquets following the presentation of his 2014 Winter collection on the first day of Russia Fashion Week on Thursday (March 27).
On the catwalk models wore a mix of languid evening dresses, overcoats with fur collars and colourful suits with geometrical motives.
Amongst the young models on the catwalk one woman stood out because of her age and size. Irina works as an administrator for the Slava Zaitsev Fashion House. Zaitsev chose to create a small collection for her after she volunteered to take part in the show. According to the designer having older models on the catwalk reflects the diversity of his customers.
Over thirty designers are set to present their collections over four days at Russia Fashion Week. Most of the designers are Russian but some from Georgia and India are also set to join in. The final day, April 1, is reserved for school presentations.
