Anti-government protesters gather outside a Bangkok emergency room, showing support for their wounded allies. Four people were injured, and one person died when gunmen opened fire on a group of demonstrators. A witness said she heard several gunshots as their cars drove off. (SOUNDBITE) (Thai) PROTESTER FROM NAKORN, SRI THAMMARAT, SAYING: "I heard 'Bang! Bang!' and someone shouted that the car was shot. The car was shot, and then I heard another three shots." Blood stains remain on a truck and bus... Bullet holes in the windows. The protest leader says their mission will continue, after months of tension. (SOUNDBITE) (Thai) PROTEST LEADER, NITITHORN LAMLUA, SAYING: "We're sorry for what happened, but there will be no mourning because we have our goal to achieve. If the police cannot look after us, we have to look after ourselves." Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has resisted mounting pressure to step down. And her "red shirt" supporters have called for a mass rally in Bangkok on Sunday, raising the risk of further confrontation.
