Obama "heartbroken" over Fort Hood shooting

April 2 - U.S. President Barack Obama said on Wednesday he was ''heartbroken'' that another shooting had occurred at the Fort Hood Army base. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

At least one person was killed and 14 were wounded Wednesday in a shooting incident at the Fort Hood military base in Texas, a U.S. official said. The official, who asked not to be identified, noted that the information was preliminary and said he could not confirm the status of the shooter. U.S. President Barack Obama on a fundraising trip in Chicago vows to get to the bottom of what happened. (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA, SAYING: "We're heartbroken that something like this might have happened again." Details are still emerging (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED MAN NEAR FORT HOOD, SAYING: "Sometimes stuff happens that you just can't control." The base was the scene of a shooting rampage in 2009 where a former Army psychiatrist killed 13 people.
