ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
Alabama faces heavy rainstorms on Monday morning (April 7).
A driver trapped in a car partially submerged in flood waters had to be rescued by firefighters.
The National Weather Service said flash flooding was reported across parts of Mississippi and Alabama as heavy rain moved into northern Georgia.
The thunderstorms on Monday could bring hail and damaging winds, in addition to floods across the central Gulf Coast and into the South, weather officials said.
