A bus crash in China's southern island province killed eight school children on Thursday.
State media also reports 32 others were injured, mostly students.
The school bus overturned during a spring outing organized for primary school students.
State TV showed the injured being treated at a local hospital.
It's the latest in a string of similar accidents in China.
In 2012, a minivan plunged into a pond, killing eleven kindergarten children on board.
And in 2011, 18 nursery school school children died in a bus crash, prompting the government to pledge more money for school bus services.
But despite that pledge, transportation remains notoriously dangerous in rural China, where where buses and trucks are old and poorly maintained.
