Stabbing suspect's attorney: "He is a good kid"

April 10 - Sixteen-year-old Alex Hribal faces four counts of attempted murder, 21 counts of aggravated assault in the Pennsylvania school attack.

In Murrysville, Pennsylvania, candles for those injured in Wednesday's school stabbing rampage. Sixteen year-old Alex Hribal, a sophomore, seen here with police, is accused of carrying out the attack. Police say he used two knives with ten-inch-long blades, as he slashed his way through the school. Senior Ian Griffith and the school's assistant principal confronted the suspect and are credited SOUNDBITE: IAN GRIFFITH (Englihs) STUDENT WHO TACKLED HRIBAL, SAYING: "I saw him stab Sarge, the police officer, and afterwards he went down and Mr. King took off to take the kid and we both jumped on him and immobilized him." Investigators have blocked off the area around Hribal's house in this suburb 20 miles of Pittsburgh. They're searching his computer for clues about a possible motive. Hribal's attorney Patrick Thomassy. SOUNDBITE (English) PATRICK THOMASSY, ALEX HRIBAL'S ATTORNEY SAYING: "This is not violent kid. This is not a dysfunctional family. By all accounts he is a good kid, a 'B' student, never been in trouble." Neighbors are stunned. SOUNDBITE (English) HRIBAL NEIGHBOR, JOHN KUKALIS, SAYING: "Just why? You question why? Our hearts and prayers go out to his Mum and Dad, his family, his brother, the victims - the school." SOUNDBITE (English) HRIBAL NEIGHBOR, TERRI LEDONNE, SAYING: "We've know them since we moved in - it's - it's tragic." Hribal has been charged with four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault.
