The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted its latest crop of honorees in a special ceremony in New York. Flamboyant rockers KISS were among those honored - however only the band's original members were inducted, leaving out current bandmembers Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. Other inductees from the class of 2014 included Peter Gabriel, Nirvana and Hall and Oates. Johnny Depp premiered his latest film, "Transcendence," in Los Angeles. In the film, the actor plays a scientist who uploads his brain to a computer, preserving him forever. He was joined on the carpet by co-stars Morgan Freeman and Kate Mara. "Transcendence" opens on April 18. Finally, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Catherine, were at war on the high seas in Auckland, New Zealand. The royal duo competed against each other in two boat races. William and Kate each took the helm of an 80-foot (24-meter) America's Cup sailing boat for a three-mile (4.8 kilometer) race - and Kate won both times. The Duchess is known to be an experienced sailor.
