Attorneys for Michael Jackson's mother Katherine and AEG Live reached a settlement agreement stemming from last year's wrongful death trial. Katherine Jackson agreed to pay more than $800,000 for costs associated with a five-month trial that ended in a victory for AEG. Rapper Flavor Flav must attend counseling sessions after pleading guilty to lesser charges in a Las Vegas domestic violence case. The rapper was accused of threatening the son of his longtime girlfriend in 2012. Flavor Flav was given a one-year suspended sentence alongside 12 mandatory counseling sessions. Orlando Bloom used his star power in Jordan to bring attention to Syrian refugees. The actor, who is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, visited with families at a refugee camp in Jordan near the Syrian border. While at the camp, Bloom paid a visit to children at a UNICEF-supported school and spoke about the importance of education. Ellen DeGeneres earned the top spot on Out magazine's list of the most influential LGBT voices in American culture. The ranking comes after the talk show host broke ratings records last year and also earned high praise for her hosting duties of the Oscars ceremony telecast.
