A Chinese plane returns to Australia's Perth airport after another day of searching.
It was looking for any sign of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight370 which disappeared on March 8 with 239 people on board.
A deep-sea drone is scouring a tight circle of the Indian Ocean floor, the size of a city, for what may be the plane's black box.
Now, after two long months, search officials, including Malaysia's Defense Minister, say the current underwater hunt for the missing plane could be complete within a week.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) MALAYSIA ACTING TRANSPORT AND DEFENSE MINISTER HISHAMMUDDIN HUSSEIN SAYING:
"Narrowing of the search from today and tomorrow is at a very critical juncture, so I appeal to everybody around the world to pray and pray hard that we find something to work over the next couple of days.
In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysians hope the black box will be found but they're not optimistic it will be any time soon.
Some recall an Air France crash in 2009 in the Atlantic Ocean where it took authorities years to find the plane's black box.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) 69-YEAR-OLD UNIDENTIFIED MALAYSIAN SAYING:
"We have to wait. The French took four years. They took four years. We'll take 14 years"
(SOUNDBITE) (English) 70-YEAR-OLD MALAYSIAN SATGURU NATEAN SAYING:
"Of course, even if they can go further down, but how long they are going to go around looking for it, it's just a matter of time."
The U.S. Navy Bluefin drone was expected to have dived to unprecedented depths on Saturday.
Authorities won't indicate whether they think the underwater search will actually yield any new information about the missing flight.
