ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle hosted the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday (April 21), welcoming more than 30,000 people to the White House. The first lady's "Let's Move" program introduced healthy food and activities to this year's Easter egg roll. The theme for the event was appropriately titled "Hop into Healthy, Swing into Shape." The president blew a whistle to kick off the official Easter Egg Roll where children roll wooden eggs with spoons along a portion of the the South Lawn of the White House. He and the First Lady also posed for photos with children and gave plenty of high fives. The Easter Egg Roll was launched by President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1878, making Monday's event the 136th White House Easter egg roll.
