Marijuana fans came out for one of Seattle's biggest pot parties on April 20th, also known as 4/20. The number is widely recognized within the cannabis subculture across the country as a symbol for all things marijuana. Megan James says events like this one help lessen the stigma of pot smoking. SOUNDBITE (English) MEGAN JAMES SAYING: "You want to support it and show people that it's not as dangerous as people think it is, and that we can have community events just like a pub crawl, and it's still safe if not safer." Recreational marijuana has been legal in Washington state for more than a year. But this party organizer says he'd still like to see it legalized throughout the United States. SOUNDBITE (English) UNIDENTIFIED HEMPFEST ORGANIZER SAYING: "I think we all need to work together to make it nationally a priority. We spend a lot of money on jails and stuff like that for people smoking pot and I don't think that's right." Besides smoking, partygoers had a chance to show off their skills in joint rolling contests.
