A security guard accused of shooting a British dive store owner in the Philippines says he did it because he'd been harshly treated.
Police said Melchor Alciso used all six rounds in a revolver to kill Tony Gilchrist.
Alciso says he couldn't stop himself.
(SOUNDBITE)(Visayan) SHOOTING SUSPECT MELCHOR ALCISO SAYING:
"I was no longer able to control myself. Even at the smallest mistake by me or other employees, he would go mad instantly. His anger was extreme. He was like a dog. He would curse at you."
A witness told local media Alciso had turned up for work on the island of Malapascua late and drunk
Gilchrist's family is quoted in media reports as saying he was a gentle man who cared deeply about the Philippines.
His family arrived in the Philippines on Monday to bring his back the body.
