Spider-Man swung into the Empire State Building in real life on Friday (April 25) along with the cast and crew of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" for a lighting ceremony that turned the iconic New York landmark in "Spidey colors", red and blue. He was accompanied by actress Emma Stone and actor Jamie Foxx at the event that also kicks off the "Be Amazing: Volunteer" day in New York to encourage fans to volunteer for their favorite good cause. After surprising unassuming visitors at the observatory deck, Stone told Reuters that she too has causes close to her heart. SOUNDBITE Emma Stone saying (English): "It's actually two that I really have gotten to work closely with, which are 'Gilda's Club', which is all over America, which was founded in the name of Gilda Radner. It's an incredible community that offers support to people affected by cancer or have family members or friends with cancer, free support." The movie sees Spider-Man Peter Parker loving life as a superhero. However, a freak accident at the sinister Oscorp suddenly turns meek worker Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx) into the super-powered Electro, who unleashes his anger on New York City and Spider-Man finds himself a new enemy. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is being released from April 16 in Europe and will eventually hit cinemas in North America a few weeks later on May 2.
