Saturday in Brussels … and a stroll across the city's canal. Forty-five professional and amateur acrobats from Brussels Circus School entertained onlookers by crossing the water at heights of between 8 and 14 meters or 25 to 45 feet. The group's instructor, Vincent Wauters says he wants to share the thrill of tightrope walking with lots of people. SOUNDBITE: Vincent Wauters, director of Brussels Circus School (Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles) saying (French): "It is a really nice experience. We start with a height of 30 centimeters and then 50, 1 meter, 2 meters, 4 meters and finally across the canal. Tightrope walking is as hard as cycling. Then it's accessible to everybody." And even though these students make it look easy, success still deserves support.
