Firefighters tackled a fast-moving fire overnight near Guthrie, Oklahoma. It started Sunday afternoon as a controlled burn, but high winds and dry conditions caused the flames to spread. Police went door-to-door to evacuate people. Residents could only watch as their neighborhood burned. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED MAN SAYING: "This sucks, the whole property out here is on fire." Officials say several homes and barns have so far been lost and some 4,000 acres charred. One man was killed in the blaze. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ERIC HARLOW, GUTHRIE FIRE CHIEF, SAYING: "Fifty-six-year-old male, he was at his home. It was a mobile home. He was asked by both family and law enforcement to evacuate, he chose not to do so, and was subsequently found deceased later last night." Crews were still fighting to save homes threatened by the flames on Monday morning. They say they're concerned the weather conditions that spread the fire are expected to continue into Wednesday.
