May 7 - U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents raided facilities in at least 29 states as part of a massive crackdown on synthetic drug producers.

The drugs which include blends of marijuana, drugs known as bath salts, and Molly can have unpredictable effects. Most consumers are unaware of the levels of mind altering chemicals in each blend. The popularity of these designers drugs, say the DEA, have surged since 2010. Hundreds of thousands of packets of drugs were seized, as well as supplies to make more. So far, as many as 150 people have been arrested.
