ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
A man drove his car into a crowd of people in southeast Houston, Texas on on Wednesday (May 7).
The silver car careened into a group of about 20 people sending them running and screaming. No one was hurt. Local media reported that the crowd had been "taunting" the driver. He eventually exited the car and was then tackled and taken into custody by police.
The driver appeared to be pursuing pedestrians gathered around a crime scene.
Media and locals had converged on a street corner after a 20-year-old man was shot and killed there earlier in the day.
Police were in the process of collecting evidence from the crime scene when the chaos broke out. The driver's son is reportedly a suspect in the murder police were investigating.
