May 11 - At least five killed and dozens wounded in suicide blast in Afghanistan's Kandahar. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

At least five civilians are killed and dozens of others wounded in Kandahar Sunday. Officials say a suicide bomber targeted a convoy carrying Afghan army soldiers. The Afghan Taliban is claiming responsibility for the attack. A witness describes the chaos on the streets. (SOUNDBITE) (Pashto) EYEWITNESS AND SHOPKEEPER AIN UDDIN SAYING: "I was drinking tea in my shop when I heard a huge explosion. After the explosion there was dust and smoke in the area, I came out of my shop and escaped from the scene. I don't know what happened next." Officials say three Afghan army soldiers are among the wounded.
