**NOTE TO EDITORS - REUTERS IS UNABLE TO INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY PART OF THE CONTENT OF THIS VIDEO, WHICH HAS BEEN OBTAINED FROM A SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITE** Hundreds gathered at St. Mark's University Parish in Santa Barbara for Sunday mass. They came to mourn the six UC Santa Barbara students killed in Friday's rampage that's shaken this college town. SOUNDBITE: MASS ATTENDANT CLARE MURPHY SAYING: "I don't have words to say how shocking this is. It was a community feeling in there coming together and supporting each other." The perpetrator was 22-year-old Elliot Rodger, who reportedly had a history of mental health problems. He fatally stabbed three roommates before shooting three others dead, and then shooting himself. SOUNDBITE: FATHER JOHN LOVE, ST. MARK'S UNIVERSITY PARISH, SAYING: "We pray for a young guy who's so mentally disturbed for his family and all of those who knew and loved him, and we wanna pray for those people as well not just the victims but those who perpetrate evil." Now, details are emerging that Rodger was on polices radar before his deadly rampage. Alerted by family members worried about his troubling online videos, police say they went to see Rodger three times. Most recently just weeks ago when he was finalizing his plan to kill. SOUNDBITE: BILL BROWN, SANTA BARBARA COUNTY SHERIFF, SAYING: "They found him to be, at that time, rather quiet and timid. He was polite and courteous. He was able to convince the deputies that this was all a misunderstanding." But the 22-year-old DID have deadly designs. Minutes before opening fire, he emailed some 30 people a 140-page manifesto detailing his plot to kill. And then, THIS video appeared online Friday... (SOUNDBITE) (English) MAN WHO IDENTIFIES HIMSELF AS ELIOT RODGER SAYING: "Tomorrow is the day of retribution. The day in which I will have my revenge against humanity. Against all of you." Reuters can't independently verify the video but police say they believe it's Rodger speaking bitterly about his plan to exact revenge for being rejected. On Sunday, police searched the home of Rodger's father. While a community searched for answers surrounding this latest fatal mass shooting.
