The mayor of Budapest's 5th District, Antal Rogan, prepares to place the final piece on top of the city's Lego tower, hoping it will be enough for a new world record.
SOUNDBITE: Anna Orford, official Guinness World Records adjudicator, saying (English):
"Today in Hungary, Lego Store Budapest achieved a new Guinness World Record, because it's 34.76 [meters]."
The 114-foot column in front of Saint Stephen's Basilica gets the nod from Guinness World Records as the tallest obelisk built from Lego blocks.
Mayor Rogan hopes the record will promote Hungary's capital around the world.
But if you plan to see the Lego tower when you visit, you'll be too late - It only stood for one day and was disassembled on May 26.
