A California family got quite a fright Wednesday night while visiting the Skydeck at the Willis Tower in Chicago.
After they stepped onto the glass "Ledge", which juts out from the 103rd floor, cracks began to form.
A spokesperson said it was the protective coating that cracked, not the actual glass, and that no one was ever in danger.
The Skydeck remained open on Thursday as crews worked to repair the damage.
