May 30 - A lockdown at Detroit's main airport ends after a passenger who entered a terminal without being checked by security is taken into police custody. Vanessa Johnston reports.

A security breach triggered a lockdown at the Detroit Airport Thursday night. The TSA said a passenger passed through security around 8:45 in the evening and then walked out of an exit. He then returned through the same exit without getting screened again. Thousands of passengers were left stranded for nearly three hours, though it wasn't immediately clear what had happened. SOUNDBITE (English) PASSENGER, CHRISTINA BELL, SAYING: "Everyone had like smartphones and we were looking up to try to see what the news was; if there was any breaking news and that's when we realized there was someone who went through security and wasn't checked and they were locking down everything to try to find them." Authorities searched the airport's McNamara terminal, which is more than a mile long and has 121 gates. The passenger was located and taken into police custody for further questioning.
