More than 3,000 migrants are rescued off the coast of Sicily. This video released by the Italian Navy on Saturday shows 450 migrants after being transferred from their dilapidated boat to safety. Authorities say most of the migrants are from Syria. Since the drowning deaths of 366 migrants in October 2013, five Italian vessels, known as Operation Mare Nostrum, have been tasked to help rescue migrants. So far the operation has hauled over 43,000 people from the seas.
