Chris Brown is a free man.
The Grammy-winning singer was released from a Los Angeles, California jail where he was serving a one-year sentence for violating probation from his 2009 assault of pop singer Rihanna.
The 25-year-old Brown has been locked up since March 14 and earned credited jail time in the probation violation case to shorten his time behind bars.
Brown must also undergo therapy, random drug testing and complete community service as part of his sentence.
