Jonah Hill was all smiles as he launched his latest movie '22 Jump Street' in New York City on June 4th. Hill hit headlines days before for using a homophobic slur against a photographer. He avoided reporters at the event, saying he had to make an appearance on US TV programme 'The Colbert Report.' Luckily for Jonah, his co-star and buddy in the movie Channing Tatum took the flak. SOUNDBITE Actor, Channing Tatum, saying (English): "Look it's unfortunate. I think it's awkward for him obviously because I think people can tell that he didn't mean that. It was just a thing in a hateful moment when someone was being hateful to him and he said probably the most hateful thing that he could think of and not even thinking, it was unfortunate." Where '21 Jump Street' saw the police buddies go back to high school, this time around they're at college which allows the film to draw a lot of its humour from classic movies. SOUNDBITE Actor, Channing Tatum, saying (English): "There are 'Animal House'-esque things or scenes or insinuations, but it's one of those things that you have movies that you love and you try to throw it a wink or a nod to them. That's what I love about the film is that it works on three different levels, it has a meta level, for anyone that loves film and anyone that loves movies in general, and then you have just like a witty, hilarious thing when things are funny, they're funny, and then you have a kick you in the balls type of humor that kids can even understand." '22 Jump Street', which has so far received glowing reviews, begins its international roll-out from June 6th.
