"22 Jump Street," starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as cops who return to college undercover, collected 60 million dollars (USD) in ticket sales at domestic theaters over the weekend, out-gunning animated "How to Train Your Dragon 2." The sequel to the 2012 hit "21 Jump Street" handily topped "How to Train Your Dragon 2," a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster which took in 50 million from Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian box offices. "Maleficent," Disney's take on "Sleeping Beauty" starring Angelina Jolie as the spell-casting evil fairy, was third with 19 million. "Maleficent" has totaled 163 million since its May 30 release, for a global total of more than 436 million. "22 Jump Street" started the weekend on a strong note, collecting $5.5 million in ticket sales at Thursday night shows, according to Box Office Mojo, which called the take "awesome." The Tom Cruise sci-fi film "Edge of Tomorrow," about a soldier who relives each day after dying in battle, was fourth with 16 million, a solid second week number after a disappointing opening weekend. The film has earned strong reviews and has done well at the overseas box office. A Los Angeles judge has granted Miley Cyrus a 3-year extension on a restraining order against an Arizona man who believed the singer was talking to him through her music. The 24-year old man was arrested back in May after trying to meet the singer. As part of the order, he must stay 100 yards away from the singer. Film and music memorabilia from pop and Hollywood royalty is set to go under the hammer at Christie's salesroom in London. A key piece is a rare page of lyrics written by former Beatle John Lennon off the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club' album, which is expected to fetch 170,000 to 255,000 dollars at auction. The items will be sold on June 20 at Christie's South Kensington in London. Casey Kasem, the U.S. radio personality who counted down the pop music hits on his popular weekly radio show and also lent his distinctive voice to hippie sleuth Shaggy in the "Scooby Doo" cartoons, died on Sunday (June 15). He was 82. Kasem's final years were marked by dementia and a battle between his children and his second wife over his welfare.
