Thousands celebrate Summer Solstice with yoga in Times Square

Thousands of people unroll their yoga mats in New York's Times Square to welcome the Summer Solstice. Vanessa Johnston reports.

Amid the hustle and bustle of New York's Times Square, thousands of yogis try to unwind.
The Times Square Alliance held free, so-called "mind over madness" classes Saturday to mark the Summer Solstice.
Co-founder of the event, Douglass Stewart, said doing yoga in the middle of Manhattan is a unique experience.
SOUNDBITE (English) CO-FOUNDER SOLSTICE IN TIMES SQUARE, DOUGLASS STEWART, SAYING:
"When you come into this setting, there's a challenge to see if you can keep that inner stillness, and be in this very public space with all of these various distractions."
