Officials scour the site of a bomb explosion at a Cairo metro station Wednesday. A series of minor blasts rocked the Egyptian capital during morning rush hour. At least eight people were wounded at various metro stations. The governor of Kalyoubia, Mohamed Abdel Zaher, said the organizations responsible should be dealt with "harshly". (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) GOVERNOR OF KALYOUBIA, MOHAMED ABDEL ZAHER, SAYING: "This is wicked and cowardly terrorism. The fact that there is more than one blast is evidence that it is organised. The harsh and strict manner by which these organisations are dealt with, should be accepted." A car bomb also detonated in front of a courthouse, leaving one injured. This man witnessed the explosion. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) EYEWITNESS, HESHAM MANSOUR, SAYING: "It happened at 1030AM. I was leaving the court and this is when I saw a large blast. I thought it was a car tire [blowing up]. When I got close it was these two parked cars and the red car had smoke coming out of the bottom of it." Egypt has seen a wave of violence -- mostly by Islamist militants -- following the ouster of President Mohamed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood last year. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Wednesday's attacks.
