Mandatory evacuations ordered in Vernon, Arizona as a fast-growing fire in the White Mountains threatens dozens of structures. Mana Rabiee reports.

In Arizona's White Mountains, Vernon resident 'Max' is closely watching that fast-growing fire. SOUNDBITE: "Max" saying: "I mean, you can really see it's not that far away." Mandatory evacuations were ordered as a wildfire threatened dozens of structures on Saturday. SOUNDBITE: "MAX" NO LAST NAME "As soon as that wind kicks up you'll see a big black puff." The fire's burning south of the town of Vernon in the northeast of the state. Forest officials say it's grown to roughly 5,000 acres with zero containment as of Friday night. SOUNDBITE: Unidentified Official saying: "The things that we're worried about is a switch in the winds and an increase in wind speed." Max is packing up some belongings... SOUNDBITE: "Max" saying: "Pillows we like, and lamps." And eyeing the water hose over his roof. SOUNDBITE: "Max" saying: "I hope I don't have to use it." The fire started Thursday. It burned across containment lines on Saturday. Authorities say it was caused by humans and an investigation is underway.
