Severe weather batters Midwest

Flash flooding and tornadoes hit the Midwest causing widespread damage and at least one death. Linda So reports.

Rain falling hard and fast in the Midwest, flooding streets near Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. In Iowa, a man was killed when powerful winds caused a building to collapse, trapping the victim inside. People in the small town of Zearing, Iowa have a lot of cleaning up to do. A tornado that swept through the area brought down trees and ripped through thick metal. SOUNDBITE: DAVID PERRY, TORNADO VICTIM SAYING: "Neighbor called and said he's seen a funnel cloud that was headed our way so said you'd better get to the basement." SOUNDBITE: DAVID PERRY, TORNADO VICTIM SAYING: "47 years and never had to go to the basement. First time, glad we did." In other parts of the Midwest, large hail and damaging winds blew out the windows of this home.
