Shakira to perform at World Cup, McCarthy immortalized in cement

Shakira has confirmed that she will perform at the closing ceremony of the World Cup on July 13. Shakira will sing her newest single, "La La La (Brazil 2014)." It will be the third time she has performed at a World Cup match, making her the first artist to have three performances at the global event.
Louis Zamperini, an American prisoner of war in World War Two and Olympic runner whose life inspired the book and upcoming feature film "Unbroken," has died. Zamperini died after a 40-day bout with pneumonia. The feature film is directed by Angelina Jolie and is due for a December release. Zamperini was 97.
Speaking of Jolie, a wax likeness of the Hollywood star was unveiled in Paris. Situated at the Grevin Museum, the wax Jolie will be placed alongside a replica of her partner, Brad Pitt.
Finally, Melissa McCarthy left her hand and foot imprints in the forecourt of the historic TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. The actress' prints will reside among some of Hollywood's most famous - including Marilyn Monroe and Bette Davis. McCarthy's latest film "Tammy" opened in the U.S. on Tuesday (July 02).
