This may look like an Olympic sport, but it's far from it.
Competitors young and old gave it their best shot at the annual cherry pit spitting contest in Michigan.
This year's winner was no surprise.
Brian Krause has won the contest several times.
He also happens to be the Guinness world record holder for making the longest cherry pit spit back in the 90's.
This year, he took the crown with a spit of 80 feet 8 inches.
SOUNDBITE: BRIAN KRAUSE, WINNER, SAYING:
"I've been coming here since I was 3, I'll be 36 tomorrow so I think this is my 33rd year since I've been here. I won 9 times."
Cherry pit spitting runs in the family for Krause.
His dad placed second in this year's contest.
The family has dominated the competition in years past.
