Tragic day for Philadelphia says fire commissioner

Family, neighbors, and city leaders are grief-striken after four children are killed in a row home fire in Philadelphia. Linda So reports.

The pain too hard to bear for the grandmother of two of the children killed in the fire. SOUNDBITE: COMFORT DUALY JACQUE, GRANDMOTHER, SAYING: "How am I feeling? I just want to die, I just want to die." Her grandsons, a 4-year-old and a one-month-old were killed when fire ripped through a block of row homes in Philadelphia early Saturday morning. The other two victims were 4-year-old twin girls. The children all died in the same house. SOUNDBITE: PHILADELPHIA MAYOR MICHAEL NUTTER, SAYING: "We lost four precious lives, four little innocent lives." The twins' mother was able to get out of the burning house with three other children. But she could not reach the four victims before escaping through a second floor window. The fire commissioner says it's a tragic day for the city. Firefighters are trying to cope with the devastating loss. SOUNDBITE: PHILADELPHIA FIRE COMMISSIONER DERRICK SAWYER, SAYING: "The members of that station right now are heartbroken. They're very heartbroken because we lost four children in this community." Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fast-moving fire that left behind unspeakable grief.
