The U.S. ambassador to South Korea is slashed in the face. Mark Lippert was attending a breakfast forum in Seoul discussing Korean reunification, when he was attacked with a fruit knife. Police say the suspect, who they've identified as Kim Ki-jong, is a Korean nationalist. Video filmed by someone at the event show the moments after police caught him. Lippert was taken to hospital. Doctors say he's now in a stable condition, but his injuries could've been a lot more serious. It could be life-threatening." The suspect Kim was also brought to hospital after saying he had a pain in his ankle. Police said it was not known how he got hurt. He shouts "We are not reunited. The war exercises should be stopped," referring to the yearly joint military drills held by the U.S. and South Korea. Police say Kim had previously tried to attack the Japanese ambassador to Seoul in 2010.
