An airing of grievances in Kenya. Anti-government protesters are marching through the capitol Nairobi. They're demanding dialogue with President Uhuru Kenyatta over issues such as recent militant attacks and the economic slowdown. One protester said inequality has become too great. (SOUNDBITE) (Swahili) UNNAMED OPPOSITION PARTIES SUPPORTER, SAYING: "This Jubilee government should not compare the living standards of leaders and other citizens. We feel oppressed and a day like today we have gathered here in large numbers to cry for justice as Kenyans who are suffering. We can request the government to resign so that we can go back to the ballot and elect leaders who can care for us." As the protesters ran through the city, police fired tear gas to disperse the crowds. Tensions have been on the rise in Kenya, which has a history of political violence. Kenyatta aides have dismissed the call for dialogue, saying there are already channels for debate.
