Atop the rolling hills of Kyrgyzstan, where shepherding is a way of life, locals are gearing up for the World Cup. Deep in the country's remote valleys, they're without electricity or even cell phone reception. Yet thanks to a TV satellite dish and a generator, these shepherds don't miss a match. (SOUNDBITE) (Kyrgyz) SHEPHERD ERKIN SADYROV, SAYING: "We bought all that equipment and set it up on top of the Karkyra Mountains because we love football. It is impossible to just live with cattle, away from any civilization. We have to be in step with the whole world. We have to create comfort for ourselves, to set up electricity. We never miss football games. Now, in the semi-finals we support the hosts of the championship, Brazil. We want them to win." Kyrgyzstan ranks 159th in the FIFA world soccer rankings, yet it doesn't stop the shepherds from enjoying the sport.
