Riders on the Ninja coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California get a thrill they weren't looking for after a car partially derails 30 feet in the air. Mana Rabiee reports.

Riders on the Ninja coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California got a thrill they weren't really looking for. The first car partially derailed 30 feet in the air on Monday, after a tree came crashing down on the ride. SOUNDBITE: JEREMY EAD, INJURED RIDER, SAYING: "We were going across one turn and then all of a sudden a loud noise happened." Jeremy Ead was one of at least four people who got minor injuries. SOUNDBITE: JEREMY EAD, INJURED RIDER, SAYING: "I ducked down just as a hard branch hit me in the head. I was there bleeding from my head." He says it took 45 minutes for the park to really respond. Some of the customers later said the passengers hanging in midair sounded frantic. And others said they were glad they passed on the Ninja ride that day. SOUNDBITE: UNIDENTIFIED YOUNG MAN SAYING: "We decided to leave and I'm really happy that we left because that could have been me." The park released a statement saying safety is a top priority. The accident comes a year after a woman was ejected from another ride at Six Flags in Arlington, and died.
