The man police say shot and killed four children and their parents in a Houston suburb home Wednesday is facing capital murder charges. He's been identified as 33-year-old Ron Haskell. Police say he was a relative, not the father of the children. His estranged wife, who lives out of state and was not at the home, was related to the victims. Police say Haskell was going through a divorce and it appears the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute. SOUNDBITE: HARRIS COUNTY CONSTABLE RON HICKMAN, SAYING: "Came to this location yesterday afternoon late, and came in the guise of a FedEx driver wearing a FedEx shirt. Came to this residence, gathered up the children that were here, and awaited the arrival of the parents." Police say sometime later, the victims were shot. A 15-year-old girl who was also shot in the home was able to call police to say the gunman was on his way to kill more relatives. SOUNDBITE: HARRIS COUNTY CONSTABLE RON HICKMAN, SAYING: "Our officers quickly responded to that location arrived before the suspect did." Police chased the car into a cul-de-sac, trapping it between two armored vehicles. A standoff ensued where the suspect could be seen placing a gun to his head. He surrendered several hours later.
