Ronald Lee Haskell appeared in a Houston court on Friday, his head hanging low. The 33-year-old is being held without bond for allegedly shooting dead four children and their parents in their Houston suburban home. The children were aged 4 to 14. Haskell appeared to collapse when details of the murder scene were being read in court. Bailiffs had to help him up and wheel him out in an office chair. Authorities say he entered the home of Stephen and Katie Stay on Wednesday, looking for his former wife, a relative of the victims. They say he held the children at gunpoint until the parents arrived. That's when he brought all seven family members into a room and shot them. Only a teenage girl survived the attack. She was later able to identify the shooter. The suspect's former wife didn't live in the house and was unharmed. The charges against Haskell include include capital murder which could carry the death penalty in Texas.
