The bi-annual British Pedal Car Grand Prix took place in the British county of Hampshire on Sunday (July 14).
Thirty five teams comprised of four car pedallers endured a two hour competition. Many of the competitors built and designed their human-powered vehicle themselves which they took on a nearly one mile course.
In the end there was some controversy when team "Patterson Bangers" raced to victory. The team had experienced a problem with their transponder, which counted the laps, and led to some dispute about the final result.
But, for most teams, bragging rights were secured by just finishing the gruelling race.
