Syrian refugee longs to 'kiss the dirt I used to walk in'
Tuesday, July 15, 2014 - 03:07
Mohammed al Hassan and his family are from Homs, a city devastated by the brutal civil war in Syria that has killed at least 150,000 people. The family now lives at al-Hussein Palestinian refugee camp in Amman, Jordan, where they are mostly dependent on humanitarian aid. They hope that one day the turmoil in their country will end and they will be able to return home. In marking World Refugee Day, Reuters photographer Muhammad Hamed captures his story in the third of a four-part series looking into the lives of the displaced around the world.
