A family torn apart by violence.
SOUNDBITE: PAUL SINGH, VICTIM'S HUSBAND, SAYING:
"What happened to Misty is a nightmare. It's something I won't ever want to happen to anybody."
Misty Singh, a wife and mother, stopped by a Stockton, California bank to withdraw cash when robbers took her hostage.
She was killed in the subsequent gun battle with police.
SOUNDBITE: PAUL SINGH JUNIOR, VICTIM'S SON, SAYING:
"I wake up hoping it's a dream. Hoping my mom is going to be there, but it's not."
Her daughter Mia was waiting in the car when her mom was taken hostage.
SOUNDBITE: DAWN HOLT, VICTIM'S SISTER, SAYING:
"That was my baby sister who passed... She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend."
This is the first time the family spoke out publicly. They're asking for privacy as police continue the investigation.
