President Barack Obama kept his focus on the economy is his weekly address.
He highlighted improvements made in job creation and the employment rate.
Obama said the key to keeping the economy moving is to help the middle class by increasing the minimum wage.
"We should raise the minimum wage so that no one who works full-time has to live in poverty. We should fight for fair pay and for paid family leave. We should pass common sense immigration reform that strengthens our borders and our businesses and includes a chance for longtime residents to earn their citizenship," Obama said.
